Being the silly minions that we are, it has taken us some time to realize that when Audrey is crabby...er...misunderstood it means we need to force her to take a nap. It reminds me of my favorite scene from the movie Hook (I know--like anyone should have a favorite scene from a Robin Williams movie, but bear with me here, it was funny when I was 12 years old.) The conversation between Captain Hook and Smee: "This is it! Don't try to stop me this time, mommy! I'm going to stay up all day-don't you dare try to stop me! ...Try to stop me."
In between bouts of dancing, it can safely be said that Audrey is the best kid ever. She smiles and tries to talk all the time (usually to stuffed toys, paintings or vegetables) and she's really starting to show signs of independence--she can airplane while she's on her belly and she loves to lean forward while people are holding her. Every morning she holds court in her high chair in the kitchen--her minions come to pay homage to her and Mr. Duck acts as her Court Jester. She usually lasts long enough for me to eat breakfast and have a cup of coffee, which is all I ask after a rough night.
Well, I'm off to feed the Dragon (milk, not pie) Thanks to everyone who contacted us to wish Audrey a Happy Three-Month Day! Any reason for celebration is a good one in my book!
