Audrey's First Grand Adventure

Well, Audrey, John and I bit the bullet and took our first official family adventure together to see the Emerald City. As you can imagine, we had some reservations since Audrey has been inclined to scream when forced into her car seat lately, but I would say she spent maybe ten minutes crying in the car round-trip. *cue Hallelujah chorus* Apparently traveling seems to agree with Audrey...or at least make her sleepy and I'm happy with either option.

The trip was pretty last-minute; John's Brother-In-Law, Jeff, had scored VIP Club Level Tickets to see the Seahawks and thought that John would want to go with him. (Kathryn is notoriously anti-any-sport-but-baseball and declined the honor of being amongst so many tools--as she would phrase it.) Since John hadn't been to a Pro Football game yet, we jumped at the opportunity. We all actually drove downtown to the Stadium before the game and Kathryn and I left the boys at the Field to go gallivanting in Pioneer Square . It was a little weird for me to be the wife dropping her husband off at the manly event to go shopping. Luckily, I was spending time with Kathryn, who is by no means a girly-girl, and we hit up toy stores instead of looking at clothes.

John and Jeff had a great time at the game even though the 'Hawks lost (surprise, surprise) and it was good to get out of the Tri-Cities. Sometimes going away for a whirlwind weekend is just what it takes to appreciate being home again.

p.s. On a sad note, Audrey's thunder thighs have officially outgrown her awesome leggings; you know they're too small when there are copious fat rolls spilling out the top. Alas, the one consolation is that the chubbier Audrey's drummies get, the cuter they are.

I can't believe her drummies outgrew the leggings!! (well, lets face it, of course I can, she grows like a pound a minute). Where do you get baby leggings cause I want to get her some new sweet ones! I love you Audrey!!

It was a grand time indeed! Come again soon, minus the Tools.
